The 6ES7321-1BL00-0AA0 is an SM 321 digital input module, part of Siemens’ SIMATIC S7-300 family, widely used in industrial automation systems. Designed to convert digital signals from an S7-300 PLC into analogue signals (voltage or current), which can be used to control external devices. This module features 32 galvanically isolated digital input channels (at 24 VDC), helping to increase the PLC’s connectivity, whilst minimising the risk of damage to its input channels. It has a single 40-pin front connector, allowing connection to the PLC without the need for additional wiring. It supports the connection of 2-wire encoders with a maximum quiescent current of 1.5 mA. Its response time ranges from 1.2 to 4.8 milliseconds, enabling it to quickly accompany the signal transmission.
