Photoelectric Sensor

A photocell is an electronic sensor that detects the presence of objects or people by interrupting a beam of infrared light. In automated systems such as automatic gates and safety barriers, photocells play a crucial role in preventing accidents and optimizing functionality. They work in pairs, consisting of a transmitter and a receiver. The emitter emits a beam of infrared light, which is picked up by the receiver. When the beam is interrupted by an obstacle, the control system is activated to stop or reverse the movement of the motor, preventing collisions and damage.
